It’s a Whole Weekend
…if you want.
Friday | Welcome to Philly
UPDATED November 5th
What and where: Family-friendly happy hour / dinner at Craft Hall. This is a pay-as-you-go situation for both drinks and food. There is pool, air hockey, board games, a playground, and even NES. (Mario 3, anyone?)
When: 4pm-6pm, or feel free to stay as long as you like!
Who: Anyone. Everyone!
What to wear: This is super casual. Wear whatever you’d wear to sit on the stoop on a Friday afternoon. (Note: The Phillies will have just won the Series first-place Sixers play at home on Saturday and Sunday nights, and, in a ‘24 playoff rematch, the Birds will be in Green Bay on Monday night.)
Parking: There is a lot is located in front of Craft Hall’s front entrance on Poplar Street, plus limited street parking. You may also park at Rivers Casino in Lot A.
Transit: Take the Market-Frankford Line (now officially called the “L1”, but ask for “the El” if you’re getting directions) to Spring Garden Station. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from there.
Saturday | The Big Event
UPDATED November 6th
Where do you go?
Upstairs @ the Philadelphia Brewing Company (2440 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125). This hasn’t changed.
What do you do?
4:30 pm Bar's open for the habitually punctual and the extra thirsty
5 pm Ceremony
5:30 pm Dinner (no seating chart, folks - it’s not that kind of party)
6:45 pm Toast (just one!)
7 pm Dancing & Dessert
8 pm You don’t have to go home, but you can stay here. You’ll just have to go downstairs.
How should you dress?
Think suits and party dresses. It’s a low key affair, but we are going to class up the joint.
Update: After the party, it’s the after party.
Who: Adults only.
What: Drinks and dancing. DJ Deejay is playing 90s vs. 00s vs. 10s. Please note that this party (after 10) is outside, but covered. Depending on how hard you work (it), you might need a coat.
When: Dancing starts at 10, but we’re going to head over as early as 8:30 to post up at the bar. Feel free to attend any or all parts of this (i.e. if you need to pop home to put the kids to bed, you can still join us afterwards. Or vice versa — come out for an hour, then go home when the DJ starts. Up to you.)
Where: Moshulu (Yep, that one. The boat), a ten-minute drive south of PBC. For those of you staying in Old City or otherwise near the Delaware, this will be very convenient for you.
Why: P-A-R-T-Why? Because I gotta.
How (updated): You can purchase tickets here ($18 til Friday, $21 on Saturday), or you can pay a cover in person ($30 via Venmo or CashApp). Since we’re going early, it seems possible that we could just matriculate upstairs and completely avoid the cover. Roll the dice… if you dare.
Sunday | The Long Goodbye
UPDATED November 5th
What and where: Family-friendly open house at Indy Hall. We’ll have bagels and coffee.
When: 9am-11:30am+. (We have to be cleaned up and out at noon.)
Who: Anyone & everyone! Again, let us know if your plans have changed since submitting your RSVP. We don’t want to have too few bagels.
What to wear: Whatever you can squeeze into, and I mean, go Birds. (Note: It’s an away game, so don’t worry about traffic.)
Arrival instructions: (updated)
The address is 709 N 2nd St, Philadelphia PA, 19103
The code for the front door is *5334 (make sure you press * before the numbers)
Once inside, follow the left hallway to find the elevator. Take it to the 4th floor.
Turn left off the elevator and follow the signs to Indy Hall/Skyroom. I'll meet you there!
There will also be a sign on the door with instructions for how to get inside. If you cannot get in, please contact Matt or Helen.
Parking: You will probably be able to find street parking, but you can refer to this very thorough guide for deeper support.
Transit: Just 2 blocks from the Spring Garden Station, this time with a nicer walk.
